Two suspects charged in connection to local robbery

Huron County OPP have arrested and charged two South Huron residents following a robbery in Exeter.

On December 7 just after 1 p.m., police say two individuals went to a residence on Carling Street in Exeter and proceeded to assault and steal money from the occupants inside the home.  

The victims of the robbery were able to identify the two alleged suspects, who police later tracked down and arrested.

A 32-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman are both facing a lengthy list of charges, including robbery with a weapon, assault, mischief, possession of property obtained by crime and many others.

Both of the accused were processed at the Huron OPP detachment and held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
