Two people charged after recovery of stolen property

Two people have been arrested and charged after some stolen property was recovered by police.

On December 13, 2024, the Huron-Perth CSCU, alongside numerous other police entities, executed a search warrant at a residence on Line 21, in the Municipality of West Perth as a result of a stolen property investigation.

As a result, police recovered stolen property, including an Artic Cat snowmobile, and two snowmobile trailers. The value of the recovered stolen property is $13,500.

On December 17, police arrested and charged a 29-year-old from Stratford with numerous offences. They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police also arrested and charged a 33-year-old from West Perth on December 29 with numerous offences. They were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on February 10, 2025.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
