One person charged following motorcycle theft

A resident of Ayton has been arrested and charged following a recent motorcycle theft.

On New Year's Eve at 9:30 a.m., Wellington County OPP were called about a stolen motorcycle in the Town of Minto.

Officers responded and quickly located the motorcycle and the would-be thief riding it.

Police arrested and charged a 32-year-old man from Ayton with theft of a motor vehicle.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on February 2, 2025 to answer to the charge.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
