Two people charged in Kincardine assault

Two people have been charged with assault following a weekend incident in the Municipality of Kincardine.

According to South Bruce OPP, officers were called to an address on Upper Lorne Beach Road just after 10:30 p.m. on Sunday where two people were involved in a physical confrontation.

Injuries from the fight were minor, police said.

Following an investigation, a 39-year-old Sarnia man and a 34-year-old from Southwest Middlesex were arrested.

The Sarnia man is charged with one count of assault with a weapon and is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court on February 12.

The person from Southwest Middlesex is charged with assault causing bodily harm and will appear in Walkerton court in relation to the charge on February 19.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
