New Brockton doctor accepting patients

It will be first come, first served, for people hoping to hook up with a new family doctor coming to Brockton.

The Brockton and Area Family Health Organization is asking people without a family doctor to line up at the Walkerton Legion on January 15 starting at 10 a.m.

Dr. Mitchell Currie will be accepting the first 500 patients who are able to attend to sign up day. The next 500 patients will be added to a list for another physician who is expected to join the family health team some time this year. Registration will be open until 2 p.m.

The family health team asks anyone intending to try and get on the list to be patient as parking and waiting areas will be limited.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
