Snowmobiler killed in crash in Huron County field

A snowmobile crash south of Clinton has claimed the life of a 58-year-old Bluewater resident.

Emergency crews were called to the collision in a farmer's field south of Mill Road west of Brucefield just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

The 58-year-old who was operating the machine was taken to hospital where they later died from their injuries, Huron OPP said.

The name of the deceased has not been released.

Mill Road between London Road and Airport Line was closed for several hours while investigators were on scene. It has since reopened.

OPP continue to probe the cause of the single-vehicle crash.
