Arrest made following break-and-enter

A break-and-enter at a business in Georgian Bluffs is being investigated by police.

On January 27 just after 7 a.m., the Grey Bruce OPP got a report of a break-and-enter to a business property along Highway 6-10 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Police came to the scene and found that scrap copper was stolen from the business. A suspect was identified by surveillance camera footage and arrested not long after by police.

As a result, a 44-year-old of no fixed address was arrested and charged with break-and-enter, theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and failto comply with undertaking.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released to reappear at the Owen Sound Court of Justice on February 13, 2025.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
