Arrest made following truck theft

A South Bruce man is facing numerous charges after allegedly stealing a truck.

On January 29 just after 8:20 p.m., Huron County OPP were called by a victim claiming their 2023 Dodge pickup truck had just been stolen from a business property in South Huron.

The truck had a GPS tracker, which allowed officers to locate the vehicle in Crediton. A suspect was seen with the vehicle and they were arrested.

As a result, a 37-year-old from Kinloss in South Bruce is charged with numerous offences including theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm or ammunition.

The accused was processed and held in custody for a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich, where they were remanded into custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
