Arrest made following truck theft

A South Bruce man is facing numerous charges after allegedly stealing a truck.

On January 29 just after 8:20 p.m., Huron County OPP were called by a victim claiming their 2023 Dodge pickup truck had just been stolen from a business property in South Huron.

The truck had a GPS tracker, which allowed officers to locate the vehicle in Crediton. A suspect was seen with the vehicle and they were arrested.

As a result, a 37-year-old from Kinloss in South Bruce is charged with numerous offences including theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm or ammunition.

The accused was processed and held in custody for a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich, where they were remanded into custody.
