UPDATE: Police seize millions of dollars worth of stolen property

An investigation into stolen property has led to an arrest and the seizure of millions of dollars worth of stolen goods.

On January 15, the Grey Bruce OPP identified a property on Sideroad 5 in Chatsworth Township that had a number of stolen commercial vehicles on it.

A search warrant was executed at the property, and police recovered four stolen tractor-trailer trucks, thirty-five stolen CMV trailers, and other stolen vehicles in various states of assembly.

Police now say the total value of the recovered stolen property is estimated at over $2.6 million, with original estimates around $2.3 million.

As a result, a 41-year-old from Grand Valley was arrested and is charged with numerous offences, including 51 counts of possession of property over $5,000.

The accused was released and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on February 27, 2025 to answer to the charges.
