Saugeen Shores Police investigating man's death

Saugeen Shores Police say a man has died after being transported to local hospital in medical distress.

Police were called to the area of Stafford Street and Johnston Avenue around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

An adult male was located in medical distress and was transported to hospital. He has since been pronounced dead.

Police specified the deceased was not Brendan Martin, who has been missing for several weeks. No other details about the incident were provided, but police say next of kin has been notified.

The investigation is ongoing, which police say is what prompted the increased police presence in that area. They say there is no concerns for public safety.
