The Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) says Arran-Tara Elementary will be closed on Wednesday due to a water main break.
Before and after school programs will also be cancelled on February 12, as the school has no water service.
The break occurred Tuesday afternoon and BWDSB says its Plant Services staff "are working with the municipality and contractors to resolve the situation as soon as possible."
In a social media update, Principal Sarah Reid apologized for the short notice and any inconvenience caused by this unexpected development. She wrote that families will be updated on the situation once they know more.
The school was slated to have its Winter Carnival on Wednesday. No word yet if it will be rescheduled.
