Armed robbery in Owen Sound under investigation

Owen Sound Police is looking for help solving an armed robbery that took place at a local convenience store Friday night.

Around 11 p.m. on February 21, a man entered a convenience store at the corner of Ninth Avenue East and 16th Street East.

According to police, the suspect was dressed all in black, including sunglasses and a black mask, and brandished a revolver-style handgun, demanding that the cashier give him all the money. He then fled the area with the cash on foot.

For a description, police say he is a white man with a thin to medium build, and approximately six feet tall.

The robbery is under investigation with members of the Owen Sound Police Service's Forensic Identification Unit.
