Boil water advisory issued for Huron Sands

The Township of Ashfield-Colbourne-Wawanosh has issued a boil water advisory for the over 120 people that use the Huron Sands well.

Due to a water main break, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice is currently in effect for the water system. The notice will be lifted once samples taken have been cleared by Huron Perth Public Health.

Until then, residents are asked to boil water for at least one minute before consuming, brushing teeth or using it to wash food.

Water is still safe for bathing, laundy and dishwashing.

Residents will be notified when the notice is lifted, then asked to run their taps to flush out lines.
