OPP investigating fatal snowmobile crash in Perth County

One person has died in a single snowmobile crash in Perth County.

Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and other emergency crews were called to the collision near 37 Line and Road 109 at around 8 p.m. Saturday.

The 25-year-old Perth South Township lone rider was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

OPP said the persons identity will not be released out of respect for the family.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team are assisting with the investigation.

Police said the cause is still under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
