Winter not done yet: Travel advisory issued

Environment Canada is cautioning against travelling around Midwestern Ontario on Saturday.

The weather agency issued a travel advisory Saturday, calling for reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Lake effect snow has developed again off of Lake Huron, and while accumulations are not expected to be significant — around five to 10 cm — motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions.

A snow squall warning has been issued for Huron County.

There is also a travel advisory in effect for Bruce, Grey, Perth and North and East Lambton County.

Drivers are asked to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
