West Grey drug bust leaves five people facing trafficking charges

Five people are facing drug trafficking charges after a raid by West Grey police in Durham.

Police searched a home on an unnamed street on February 12. Officers turned up illegal drugs, property, and cash. A dollar figure associated with the amount of drugs seized was not released.

Five people were arrested in relation to the raid.

Two West Grey men, a Scarborough man, and two West Grey women have been charged with possession of drugs, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

The ages of those charged range from 23 to 33, police said.

The accused are scheduled to appear in Walkerton court on March 26.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
