Driver cited following crash in Owen Sound

An area of Owen Sound has been reopened to traffic after a two-vehicle collision on Thursday.

Owen Sound police say it happened at around 11 a.m. at the intersection of 10th Street East and 7th Avenue East.

One of the drivers had to be extricated from a vehicle and treated for minor injuries at Brightshores Hospital.

One of the drivers, a 33-year-old Owen Sound man, was ticketed for careless driving and failure to obey a red light.

The eastbound lanes of 10th Street, between 5th Avenue East and 7th Avenue East, were closed while the investigation was conducted and the vehicles were towed from the scene. The area has since reopened.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
