Guitar, amp stolen in Mount Forest break-in

Wellington OPP are looking for a music loving burglar after an electric guitar and amplifier were stolen during a break-in at a Mount Forest business.

According to OPP, someone smashed the lower pane of glass on the front door of the business on Main Street sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Monday. That person then went inside and proceeded to ransack the interior before leaving with the guitar and amplifier. The top of the guitar could be seen sticking out of the person's backpack as they took off, heading north on Main Street, police said.

The value of the items stolen is approximately $350. The cost to repair the smashed glass is not yet known.

The suspect is believed to have been male, dressed in all black.

Police are asking anyone with information about the break-in or who has dash camera or security footage from the area around the time of the break-in to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8411 (TIPS).
