Four charged in Port Elgin park break-in

Four people have been charged after allegedly breaking into an outbuilding at a Port Elgin Park.

Saugeen Shores Police says it was alerted to the break-in around 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. Officers arrived and located a damaged door. Four people were located inside and arrested.

As a result of this investigation, a 42-year-old man, 36-year-old woman, 33-year-old man and a 53-year-old man are all facing charges of break and enter, mischief and possession of break-in instruments.

Two of the men were also charged for failing to comply with release orders.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
