One person charged following assault

Huron County OPP arrested and charged a Howick resident following a recent alleged assault.

On March 13, police were called about a dispute in the Village of Wroxeter in the Township of Howick.

Following an investigation, police say they determined that the suspect involved had allegedly committed several criminal offences against two other people.

The suspect, a 48-year-old Howick man, was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats, assault causing bodily harm, mischief under $5,000 and operation while prohibited.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, then later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on April 7, 2025.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
