Harriston resident charged in intimate partner violence case

A 55-year-old Harriston resident faces two charges following an intimate partner violence investigation by Wellington County OPP.

Police responded to a disturbance call on March 17 around 11 p.m. As a result, the individual has been charged with spousal assault, and assault causing bodily harm.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph.

The OPP is withholding the name to protect the victim's identity.
