Two residents of midwestern Ontario face charges after investigations into intimate partner violence.
On March 16, the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police were called to an incident in Bluewater.
According to police, the "involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner."
A 42-year-old from West Perth has been arrested and charged with spousal assault. The accused was later released from custody with a court date of April 14.
Also, a 24-year-old Mount Forest resident is facing criminal charges following an investigation by the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a Mount Forest residence on March 22, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m.
After conducting an investigation, the individual was charged with assault and spousal assault.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
In each case, he OPP has withheld the names of the accused to protect the identity of the victims.
