Update: Over 25,000 without power in midwestern Ontario

Thousands of people across midwestern Ontario continue to be without power.

According to Hydro One, Saturday's freezing rain is impacting around 27,000 people from Collingwood to Port Elgin and up the Northern Bruce Peninsula.

Grey County and the Northern Bruce Peninsula are combining for around 10,000 people, while roughly 14,000 are without power around Collingwood.

Most outages are expected to be fixed by Sunday evening. However, those around Collingwood may have to wait until Monday afternoon.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
