Hanover police seize homemade weapon, drugs during traffic stop

An early morning traffic stop has led to the seizure of drugs and a homemade weapon.

Hanover police attempted to pull over a 45-year-old Kincardine man. Police did not disclose the reason.

During a search officers seized over $17,000 in cocaine, a sex toy made into a taser and other evidence of trafficking.

Additionally, the suspects vehicle was seized.

There was a brief struggle when police tried to arrest the man.

He sustained minor injuries that required treatment in hospital.

The suspect was released from custody and if facing 10 charges including, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
