L'Arche Stratford to hold groundbreaking ceremony

L'Arche Stratford is inviting people to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for its new headquarters.

On May 28 at 11 a.m., the ceremony will be held at 426 Brittania Street where the new L'Arche building will be constructed.

A reception after the groundbreaking will be held at Community of Christ Church at 226 Forman Avenue in Stratford.

The new headquarters is being built as a result of the Be, Belong, Become Capital Campaign, which aimed to raise $6.5 million for the new facility.

L'Arche is an organization that helps adults with intellectual disabilities and the assistants who live, work and learn with them.

The 15,000 sq. ft. centre will provide eight new supported independent living units, increasing L’Arche Stratford’s capacity by 65 per cent.
