High Street reconstruction starts soon in Southampton

The Town of Saugeen Shores will hold a public information session this week ahead of the High Street Reconstruction Project.

This session will provide an opportunity for residents and businesses to review details on construction staging, parking and traffic flow during the project, which is set to be completed in two phases.

The Town says the project will bring essential infrastructure upgrades along with thoughtfully designed features that enhance traffic calming, active transportation, and streetscape improvements.

The project will begin with crews lining sanitary sewers to improve the lifespan from April 9 to 17.

Phase One will run from this spring to fall and span from Victoria to Grosvenor Street. Phase Two will take place in 2026.

The info session will take place Thursday, April 10, at the Southampton Town Hall from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Those who cannot attend can visit the Engage Saugeen Shores website for updates.
