Paws on Pavement event aims to raise money for humane society

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth will hold a fundraiser event this month to raise more money for a capital campaign.

The Paws on Pavement event will be held Saturday, April 26, and it will be led by Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control.

Volunteers will be running the event at both humane society locations "collecting donations, raising awareness, and speaking with residents about local services that help people and pets stay together during times of need," according to a media release from the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth.

A main event hub will be in Waterloo Public Square, where people can bring their dogs by and get complimentary treats, wellness assessments, nail trimmings, and more.

Funds raised will go toward the humane society's Better Together Capital Campaign.
