Five people, including three youths, charged in 'rash' of break-ins

Perth County OPP have charged two adults and three youths after an investigation into what police called a "rash" of break-ins.

On April 13, Perth County OPP launched an investigation into a string of break-and-enters in Perth East, which also included property damage to churches and a school.

Following the investigation, police arrested and charged two adult suspects and three youths with two counts of break-and-enter and three counts of mischief under $5,000.

Police add that two of the three youths are also facing two counts of theft under $5,000.

Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information related to this investigation or video footage to call them or Crime Stoppers.

Investigators have not released details on court dates for the accused.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
