Two North Huron residents charged with trafficking

Two North Huron residents have been charged with drug trafficking after a suspicious vehicle was located in Blyth earlier this month.

According to Huron County OPP, on April 2, officers observed a suspicious vehicle, with two individuals inside, parked near a storage unit facility. Upon inspection, police found the driver was impaired.

During the arrest, a quantity of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine was seized. The total value of the illegal drugs is estimated at $8,220.

A 61-year-old man and 56-year-old woman were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. The man also faces charges for impaired driving.

The two are set to appear in Goderich court next month.
