Two break-and-enters at local businesses under investigation

Two break-and-enters in Mount Forest that saw cash and a laptop stolen are being investigated by Wellington County OPP.

According to police, officers responded on April 26 to two separate break-and-enter reports at two different businesses near the intersection of Queen Street and Main Street in Mount Forest.

The first incident saw suspects gain entry by breaking in through a basement window. The store was ransacked, and a laptop computer was stolen.

A second incident involved a lone suspect caught on video breaking in through a rear door. The individual stole cash and a "point of sale" terminal.

The suspect was wearing a dark jacket, grey hoodie, gray pants, and light coloured running shoes.

Anyone who has any information should contact Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
