Police trying to identify suspect in Markdale LCBO thefts

Provincial police in Grey County are asking the public for help identifying a suspect in two separate thefts from the LCBO in Markdale.

OPP were initially called about a man who left the store without paying just after 5 p.m. on April 17. Just over a week later, police were called again about another theft that took place just before 3 p.m. last Friday.

Just under $400 worth of liquor was snatched during the two incidents.

No injuries were reported.

Police are looking for a man described as Caucasian, between the age of 40 and 50, approximately 5'7", around 220 lbs, with a medium build and a bald head. Surveillance photos of the suspect were released to the public on Tuesday.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
