Ministry investigating workplace injury near Mildmay

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is investigating after an employee at a local business suffered serious injuries on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services responded to an incident along Bruce Road 3 just outside of Mildmay.

It was reported a worker, employed by J T Excavating, was injured by a piece of machinery.

The 23-year-old resident of West Grey was transported by Air Ornge to a trauma centre in London with serious injuries.

A Ministry inspector has been assigned and the investigation remains ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
