One person arrested and charged following vehicle mischief

Huron County OPP arrested and charged a Central Huron resident after they allegedly damaged a vehicle.

On April 23, police were called just after 9 p.m. regarding damage to a vehicle on Albert Street in Clinton.

Officers arrived and arrested a suspect, who police allege resisted arrest initially but was eventually taken into custody.

A 43-year-old from Central Huron is charged with mischief under $5,000 and resisting a peace officer.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on June 2.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
