Huron County OPP responded to a report of an assault in the Municipality of Huron East on April 23.
According to police, officers learned that a person had been assaulted.
A 27-year-old man was charged with assault and later released from custody with a court date in Goderich set for next month.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
