Police arrest one suspect following mischief incident

Huron County OPP have arrested and charged one person following a mischief at a home that's currently under construction.

Police were called on April 20 about damage to a home on Elgin Avenue East in Goderich.

Investigators determined that someone had thrown rocks at the building, causing $1,000 in damage.

The suspect was identified by police and subsequently arrested near the crime scene.

A 29-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and fail to comply with probation order.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on May 12.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
