Brightshores Health System to host Mental Health and Addictions Coffee House

Brightshores Health System will once again host its annual Mental Health and Addictions Coffee House this month.

The event, now in its tenth year, will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Anyone is welcome to attend the event, which is free. The focus of the event is bringing more awareness to mental health and addictions resources that are available locally.

Brightshores says the theme this year is "Dare to Share and Shatter the Silence." Individuals will share their lived experiences through art forms, music and poetry.

"This event is a great opportunity to learn more about what supports are available at Brightshores using art as a way to connect with members of our communities," said Naomi Vodden, Director of Mental Health and Addictions Services at Brightshores. "We get a great turnout every year and look forward to providing people with engaging conversations in a safe, inclusive environment surrounded by art."
