The Township of Wellington North will invite residents to attend an open house regarding the plans for the new playground at Lion Merv Weber Playground in Mount Forest.
The open house will be on Monday, June 2, from 6-8 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex.
Wellington North Council awarded the tender for the new playground to Park N Water Ltd. at the April 22 council meeting.
The new park tender was for $149,651.44, including HST. The project was included in the 2025 budget, at an estimated cost of $160,000.
Residents who attend the open house will have an opportunity to meet with the playground design specialist to learn more about the proposed plans, ask questions, and share feedback.
The new playground is expected to be completed by September of this year.
