Public Health Ontario reports a total of 214 cases in Huron Perth between October 28, 2024, and May 20, 2025. That's an increase of 22 cases in a week.
However, there were no new cases reported in Grey Bruce Owen Sound. There have been 40 cases in that region since the outbreak began last fall.
In all, Ontario has seen 1,795 cases during the outbreak, including 173 new cases between May 13 and May 20.
Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
