Charges laid following "vandalism spree" in Arthur

Police have arrested and charged one person following what authorities are calling a "vandalism spree" in Arthur.

On May 25 at 5:45 a.m., Wellington County OPP officers responded to a call about a person who was allegedly breaking windows along Main Street in Arthur.

Police arrived at the scene and located the suspect and placed them under arrest. Five local businesses and two residences were damaged.

As a result, a 45-year-old man of no fixed address is charged with seven counts of mischief-destroys or damages property.
