UPDATE: Wellington OPP say lost firearm has been returned

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Wellington County say a firearm reported lost has been turned in.

Few details were available, but police say the firearm fell from the back of a pickup truck that was travelling between Fourth Line, Mapleton and Waterloo Region.

Police reported on Friday afternoon that the weapon had been located and turned into authorities.

The OPP would like to thank the public for its attention to this matter.
