Two people sought after metal stolen from Blyth fairgrounds

Huron OPP are hoping the public can help investigators identify a pair of suspects in a recent theft from the fairgrounds in Blyth.

According to police, a man and woman with three dogs stole a pile of corrugated sheet metal that was near the Blyth Festival Theatre's outdoor stage behind the arena around 9:30 p.m. last Saturday. The same pair had been seen examining the metal while walking the three dogs the day before the theft.

The metal is valued at approximately $1,000, police said.

On Tuesday, police released photos of two suspects and a vehicle - a white cargo van.

Anyone with information about the theft or who recognizes the suspects is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
