Chi-Cheemaun job fair set for Thursday

People looking for seasonal work in the Tobermory area may have to look no further than the Chi-Cheemaun.

The Owen Sound Transportation Company, which operates the ferry service between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island, will hold a job fair between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday. Available positions include dock persons and ticket agents.

Those interested in working for the historic ferry service are asked to bring their resume and references to the Tobermory Terminal at 8 Eliza Street. There will be walk-in interviews and a chance to explore what a career with the transportation company would would like.

The Chi-Cheemaun resumed daily voyages for the 2025 season on May 2. They will continue until October 26.
