High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

South Bruce OPP are asking for the public's help tracking down a side-by-side that was swiped from a Huron-Kinloss property earlier this week.According to police, an outbuilding along Kairshea Avenue was broken into overnight on June 2. Security footage determined the theft occurred around 1:45 a.m.The individual made off with a 2023 John Deere Gator, green and yellow in colour, with an attached licence plate of 1YZ45. They also stole several Dewalt power tools.The suspect was wearing all black motorcycle gear and a black helmet.If you have any information, contact South Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
