OPP arrest two people in Meaford break-and-enter

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Grey Bruce have arrested two men in connection with a break-in at a Meaford business.

Officers were dispatched shortly before 1 a.m. Friday to the business on Highway 6-10 for an alarm call. With the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit, two men were apprehended.

A 35-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both from Owen Sound, are each charged with obstructing an officer, break and enter, and mischief under $5,000.

The 35-year-old man is also charged with possession of break-in instruments and failure to comply with a release order.

The 28-year-old is also charged with two counts of failure to comply with a prohibition order.

The charges have not been proven in court. Both men will have a chance to respond in an Owen Sound court on July 10.
