Clinton Public Hospital to close emergency department this weekend

Clinton Public Hospital will be closing its emergency department this weekend.

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says that, due to human resources issues, the emergency department in Clinton will close on Friday, June 13 at 8 p.m., and won't re-open until 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 15.

Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should still call 9-1-1. Paramedics will remain available to the community and will re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department.

For non-urgent health care, call Health Connect Ontario at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health related questions.

The closest 24-hour Emergency Departments to the Clinton Public Hospital are:

Seaforth – HPHA – Seaforth Community Hospital

Goderich – Alexandra Marine & General Hospital

Exeter – South Huron Hospital
