High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Provincial police are searching for a pair of off-road vehicles snatched from a garage in the Municipality of Brockton.South Bruce OPP were called about the break-in and theft just after 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.Officers determined thieves broken into the garage of a home in the area of McGivern Street West and Griffith Street and left with the two machines. The first is described as an orange 2014 KTM dirt bike with the Ontario plate number 1C43V. The second vehicle was a white 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570 all-terrain vehicle bearing Ontario plate number 6ZP65.No suspect description was provided.Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
