Belgrave Playground Committee hosting steak dinner, talent show fundraiser for new playground

The Belgrave Playground Committee will host an upcoming event to raise money for the new playground in Belgrave.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 21 and will feature a steak dinner, talent show, and a silent auction.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m.. Dinner will be served between 5-7 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $50 for the steak supper and $15 for a kids hamburger. The talent show will begin at 7 p.m., featuring local talent.

There is still room if you wish to join the talent show. You can email belgraveplaygroundcommittee@gmail.com. First prize for the talent show is $500.

Also, there are tickets still available for the dinner. The silent auction is currently live on Facebook and will finish on Saturday at the event.

All funds will go toward the purchase of brand new playground equipment for Belgrave.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
