Charges laid after armed man spotted in Georgian Bluffs

A Brampton man faces charges after an incident in Georgian Bluffs.

Police were called to a report of a suspicious man walking along Second Street in Georgian Bluffs, reportedly carrying what appeared to be a firearm.

Grey Bruce OPP officers responded to the scene around 1:21 a.m. on June 15, 2025. They searched the area and located a man exiting a wooded area carrying what was later determined to be an imitation firearm.

A suspect was taken into custody safely, and as a result, a 29-year-old from Brampton was charged with two counts of possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
