Health Unit seeks owner of dog that bit woman in Kincardine

Grey Bruce Public Health is asking for help locating the owner of a dog that bit a woman in Kincardine over the weekend.

According to the Health Unit, the incident occurred on Sunday, around 9:30 a.m.

A woman was bitten by a dog while walking on the Blue Trail, near the North Line Extension, west of Highway 21.

The dog is described as being a large Shepherd-type dog with brown fur. It was with a man in his 60s at the time.

The Health Unit needs to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies, so the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
