Crash leads to impaired driving charges in Grey Highlands

A 36-year-old driver is facing impaired charged after a single vehicle crash northeast of Dundalk.

Grey Bruce OPP were called about the incident on Grey Road 9 near Road 57A just after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Officers arrived to find a vehicle crashed into the ditch.

No injuries were reported.

A 36-year-old from Mono is charged with impaired driving and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood.

The accused has had their driver's licence suspended for 90-days and the vehicle has been impounded for a week.

"The OPP is committed to safety for all who utilize Ontario's roadways," police said in a statement. "Members of the public are urged to report impaired driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive, or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122."
